The European facility of ACM-Pivotal, York, England, has received Certification by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) based on the results of a recent on-site inspection of its central laboratory.
Established in 1999 to serve Europe, Israel, and South Africa, ACM-Pivotal Europe offers laboratory facilities featuring a wide range of testing services.
The CAP Laboratory Accreditation Program uses teams of practicing laboratory professionals as inspectors. Its goal is to improve patient safety by advancing the quality of pathology and laboratory services through education, standard setting, and ensuring laboratories meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
ACM-Pivotal was also awarded a renewal of its CAP accreditation for its Rochester, NY-based central laboratory facility in July.
