Carolina Liquid Chemistries Corp, Winston-Salem, NC, has introduced the CLC720i, a new, FDA-cleared chemistry analyzer that meets the needs of mid-volume clinical laboratories.

Producing up to 400 photometric tests and 240 ISE tests per hour with an overall throughput up to 560 tests per hour, the CLC720i offers numerous automatic processes, including pre-dilution, post-dilution, QC, rerun, probe cleaning, reagent blank checks, and probe collision recovery. The automatic ISE calibration feature provides the operator with flexibility in setting the time for ISE calibration to occur. The system’s ease of maintenance also saves time and cost while increasing productivity. Carolina Liquid Chemistries is the exclusive distributor of the CLC720i.

“The CLC720i makes a great addition to our product offering. We now offer the CLC480 benchtop for smaller clinical laboratories, the CLC6410 for large core and reference labs, and now the CLC720i for mid-volume labs,” says Phil Shugart, CEO. “Our product line is incredibly flexible. If you are looking to start a lab, update a chemistry analyzer, or if you’re an IDN or GPO trying to standardize and streamline, CLC has something new to offer.”

CLC provides instrumentation ranging in throughput from 400 to 2000 tests per hour. The company’s reagent line includes general chemistry tests in the comprehensive metabolic, lipid, liver, renal, and electrolyte panels as well as special tests such as vitamin D, urine drug screens, and others.

The company provides calibrators, controls, parts, and supplies to accompany the instruments and reagents, along with service contracts supported by a nationwide field service and technical support group. CLC customers are trained in the company’s new education center located at their headquarters in Winston-Salem, NC.
