Greiner Bio-One International GmbH, Frickenhausen, Germany, has unveiled the CellView slide, which features a glass bottom that has both a tissue culture-treated surface, for simple applications, and an advanced tissue culture-treated surface for such complex experiments as multiple immunological staining or live cell analysis of sensitive cells. The new glass coating technology is designed to create a plastic-like surface on which cell cultures can grow. The 175-µm-thick borosilicate cover glass is embedded in a transparent plastic slide equipped with a detachable black polystyrene housing.
