Patient safety and reduced error in medical diagnosis are the goals of the Diagnostic Error in Medicine (DEM) Conference.
The sixth meeting of this international event, to be held from September 22 to 25 in Chicago, welcomes health professionals across all disciplines to engage and collaborate in significant dialogue.
Diagnostic errors—missed, delayed, incorrect diagnoses—account for significant harm but are underemphasized and understudied.
This conference is the only event dedicated solely to the problem of diagnostic error, convening stakeholders with a shared goal of improving patient safety.
