The Ventana Image Analysis System (VIAS) is a computer-assisted and interactive microscopy system intended as an aid to the pathologist in the detection, classification, and counting of cells of interest. VIAS is optimized and 510(k)-cleared* for use with the Ventana breast panel of protein assays (PATHWAY HER-2/neu (4B5), CONFIRM ER, CONFIRM PR, CONFIRM Ki-67, CONFIRM p53). The VIAS algorithms standardize slide scoring through quantitative assessment of breast marker intensity, size, and shape. Flexible software tools aid pathologists in the visualization, segmentation, and interpretation of digital images.
