Archive DNA at room temperature

In a 96-well format

Using a patented solid phase matrix, the CloneSaver Cards capture and stabilize BAC and plasmid DNA for long-term, room temperature storage. New 96-well format cards have been introduced for high throughput automated laboratories.
When bacterial clones, resuspended colonies or glycerol stocks are applied to a CloneSaver Card, cells are lysed on contact and DNA is captured and stabilized. The captured DNA is directly available for downstream applications such as bacterial transformation and PCR, or can be archived for later use.
CloneSaver Cards use a patented FTA Technology that has stabilized DNA for 10 years in studies. Samples applied to CloneSaver Cards become non-hazardous since all cells as well as viruses are lysed and proteins are denatured upon contact.
