Cyclosporine assay
For the Cobas Integra 400 Plus chemistry system
The Cobas Integra Cyclosporine immunoassay is for the quantitative determination of cyclosporine A (CsA) in human whole blood as an aid in the management of cyclosporine therapy in kidney, heart and liver transplant patients. CsA is one of the most common immunosuppresants used to prevent graft rejection. This assay uses the enzyme multiplied immunoassay (EMIT) technology which offers wide parent drug specificity when compared with RIA and FPIA, and has excellent correlation with the HPLC reference method. Enhanced sensitivity of 22 ng/mL enables the assay to detect low concentrations of CsA which is important to monitoring of low-dose and combination immunosuppressive therapies. The turnaround time of 20 minutes to first result allows for adjustments to be made to a patients therapy before leaving the clinic. Roche Diagnostics www.labsystems.roche.com Keywords: TDM
