The ESRA-10 provides fully automatic ESR measurements of 10 samples, simultaneously or independently. Tests are run directly in the vacuum blood tubes, using the ESR-tainer closed primary blood collection tube. These glass tubes contain 0.4mL of sodium citrate at 3.8 percent.
     Results are available in 30 minutes, and automatically converted and expressed in mm/1 hr. Westergren. The measuring range is 0-140 mm/hr., with higher values marked >140. Precision is 0.2 mm.
     The instrument has an automatic blood level check, and gives a warning for erroneous sample fillings. The required sample volume is 1.6 ml.
     The unit also features automatic temperature compensation. Operating temperature range is 15-32ÞC.
     The ESRA-10 outputs data to either a printer or a host computer. Its dimensions are 7.1” width by 4.0” depth by 5.5” height. It weighs 2 lbs.
