A compact blood gas analyzer has been added to this company’s series of Stat Profile pHOx blood gas/critical care analyzers. Offering a three-test menu of pH, PCO2 and PO2, the new Stat Profile pHOx Basic is intended primarily for respiratory care applications where a standard blood gas profile is required.
     Only 45 µL of whole blood is required to measure the three-test blood gas panel. Results are available in 45 seconds.
     The pHOx basic analyzer has a liquid-only calibration system that eliminates bulky compressed gas tanks, regulators, gas tubing lines and humidifier chambers. It also features an automated quality control system.
     The unit measures 12”x12”x15” and weighs 18 pounds, making it easy to transport when required.
