Antibiotic susceptibility tests

High-resolution digital camera plate reader

The high-resolution color digital camera Biomic System instantaneously reads NCCLS-M2A7 antibiotic disk test plates, checks results with an advanced system, and sends test results to the LIS.
This advanced technology digitizes and speeds workflow, and is cost-efficient.
Clear color image of all test plates including blood agar are saved for the working day, to be available for review. Disk codes are visible and zone measurements may be edited on-screen, unlike automated panel/card breakpoint systems which require error rate acceptance.
The Biomic companion IDTree system provides rapid species identification at an accuracy rate over 95 percent for more than 80 percent of isolates from NCCLS-M35 based flow schemes. Biomic also provides extensive infection control and quality control reports, and MICs from the continuous agar gradient around each disk.
The software is a Windows-based plug and play system.
