Lupus anticoagulants

Clotting assays and controls

The DVV line of clotting assays and controls is for the determination of Lupus Anticoagulants (LA).
DVVtest is a simplified, single-vial dilute Russell’s Viper Venom Time (dRVVT) reagent for the screening of LAs in plasma. DVVconfirm is a high-phospholipid confirmatory reagent, to be used in conjunction with the DVVtest for the verification of LAs, as recommended by the ISTH subcommittee on LA testing. DVVtroll normal and abnormal control plasmas are also available and are especially formulated for the quality control procedures.
Both of the lyophilized reagents are conveniently packaged, can distinguish Lupus Anticoagulant from factor VIII and other intrinsic inhibitors, and have a demonstrated 100% positive predictive value, as proposed by the ISTH subcommittee on LA testing.
The assays are resistant to heparin up to 1.0 U/mL and offer an extended reconstituted stability of 5 days when stored at 2 degrees C to 8 degrees C. Both DVVtest and DVVconfirm are suitable for manual and semi-automated procedures, as well as for use on automated coagulation instruments.
Automated applications are available for a broad line of coagulation instruments, including, but not limited to, Instrumentation Laboratory, Dade/Behring, MLA, Diagnostica Stago and Sysmex.
