PCR plates

Thinner wells increase heat transfer

The Eppendorf twin.tec PCR plate features increased frame strength with thin-walled wells. Using “twin-shot” technology, the injection mold manufacturing process combines a polycarbonate plate frame and polypropylene wells.
The polypropylene wells offer minimal binding of DNA, RNA and enzymes, even with ultra-small volumes. The wells are 20 percent thinner than conventional thin-walled plates, providing increased heat transfer and a secure fit against thermal blocks.
The polycarbonate frame provides high mechanical stability, which facilitates handling. The rigid material prevents warping that may be found in traditional PCR plates; a precise seal prevents evaporation.
These “PCR clean” plates are free of human DNA, DNase, RNase, and PCR inhibitors. They are available as skirted and semi-skirted 96-well plates in five colors.
