Coagulation testing assays

Quantitative detection of (vWF) activity

productThe von Willebrand Factor activity assay is a quantitative direct enzyme immunoassay, incorporating monoclonal antibodies for the detection of vWF activity in human citrated plasma.
An increased level of vWF indicates damage to the endothelium in vascular disease leading to a host of various bleeding disorders, while decreased levels are found in hypothyroidism and systematic lupus erythematosus (SLE). In addition, acquired forms of the disease have also been described in autoimmune disease, Waldesroms disease, rheumatic vasculitis and diabetes.
The assay contains sufficient supplies to perform 96 separate tests.
