hCG two line test

Rapid point of care determination

techThe Poly stat hCG 2 Line Test is a rapid, one-step pregnancy test in cassette format for the detection of hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) in urine. This is a rapid, visual test. Results can be read as early as 30 seconds (for a strong positive) and requires 5 minutes to confirm negative.
To perform this test, place 5 drops of urine in the sample well of the test device. The patient sample wicks through the absorbent pad where lines form to give a result. The Poly stat hCG cassette test is a 2 line cassette test: There is one line for a patient result and one line for the control result. The control line is a procedural control which assures the operator that the sample addition and migration through the device has occurred and that the antibodies are intact and functional. A positive result shows 2 lines and a negative result shows one line.
The Poly stat hCG test has a sensitivity of 20 mIU/mL. The test result is clear and there is no background interference. This test has been granted CLIA waived status.
