Liquid Select LDL is a homogenous, completely automated direct LDL test for use on serum or plasma with most clinical chemistry analyzers. There is no need for any off-line pretreatment or centrifugation steps.
     Direct measurement of LDL cholesterol eliminates potential error related to patient non-compliance with 12-hour fasting and potential interference from elevated triglyceride levels, and is useful for diabetic patients.
     The Liquid Select LDL is available in 2 sizes, 100 tests and 800 tests. Applications are available for most automated chemistry systems. For analyzers that require priming of the reagent lines, the R1 and R2 components can be purchased separately.
