A two-cell antibody screening assay is now available for the ABS2000. The ABS2000 is a fully automated blood bank instrument that has been cleared for antibody screening, blood grouping, donor confirmation and crossmatch testing. The instrument features a simple three-step process: load samples, select assay, walk away.
     The addition of the two-cell antibody screen to the ABS2000 test menu offers increased flexibility, efficiency, throughput and turnaround time. Laboratories may now choose between the traditional four-cell antibody screen or the new two-cell antibody screen based on their testing needs.
     The ABS2000 performs patient ABO/Rh and donor confirmation using hemagglutination, and patient anibody screen and donor crossmatch using solid phase technology. Its manufacturer-prepared hemagglutination strips and solid phase microstrips standardize methodology and improve quality assurance.
