The upside down bottle shield (UBS-1) offers protection for jobs that require a draw from an inverted bottle. The contents of the bottle can be extracted completely while protecting the user’s hand. This shield is acrylic and measures 4 inches by four inches with an acrylic tube attached at the top to hold a standard size Bac-Tec bottle in place. A second model (UBS-2) will hold two bottles in the same fashion. This model works by grasping the attached tube and bottle in one hand, then making the draw with the other. A third model (UBS-P) is designed for pediatric long neck bottles and works in the same manner as the UBS-2.
     Shields are also available for various vacutainer and lidocaine containers. Custom sizes can be produced to meet individual customer needs.
