     This method is based on the hydrolysis of 2-chloro-p-nitrophenyl-œ-D-maltoside (CNPG2), maltotriose and glucose. The rate of increase in absorbance is measured at 405 nm, and is proportional to the œ-amylase activity in the sample.
     The reagent as a ready to liquid and provide in a number of different kit configurations. The reagent has a 24-month shelf life when stored at 2-8º and is linear to 2000 U/L.
