The Poly stat Mono point of care test is a rapid, visual, one-step test for the detection of IgM antibodies specific to infectious mononucleosis (IM) in human whole blood, serum, or plasma. It is available in waived and moderately complex versions.
     No dilution is necessary for this test, and a positive result will appear within 3 to 5 minutes. The test has a sensitivity of 98.6 percent and a specificity of 98.8 percent.
