This company has added Sirolimus to the Lyphochek Whole Blood Control. Sirolimus, also known as rapamycin or Rapamune, is an immunosuppressive agent used for patients who receive organ transplants.
     Lyphochek Whole Blood Control is designed to monitor a variety of whole blood assays, including Cyclosporine, Sirolimus, Tacrolimus (FK-506), Lead and Red Cell Folate. Three critical levels are available. Values are provided for multiple manual test methods and instruments. The Unity data management program for quality control, as well as peer group data, is available for the life of the lot.
     This human-based product has a three-year shelf life when stored at 2-8ºC. Sirolimus is stable for 14 days at 2-8ºC and 30 days at -10ºC to -20ºC after reconstitution.
