This Piccolo portable chemistry and electrolyte analyzer has expanded its test menu to include HDL, triglycerides, total cholesterol, LDL, TC/HDL ratio and VLDL.
     The panel is a self-contained disc using a few drops of whole blood, serum or plasma in less than two minutes of hands on time. With built-in iQC and calibration, results are provided in a “hard-copy” report suitable for the patient’s files in less than 13 minutes or transferable to an LIS. The panels are individually packaged, with 10 discs to a box.
     The Piccolo can be easily transported to any location. Adaptable to line or battery power, Piccolo operates from any 12-volt source, and is equipped with an RS232 port for computer data handling.
