This company has announced its Erythropoietin (EPO) ELISA. This product allows the accurate assessment of very low to normal levels of EPO in serum. This ELISA may be operated manually with the generation of results within 4 hours, or fully automated on open-platform microplate systems.
     EPO is the primary naturally-occurring stimulant of red blood cell production. Measurement of circulating EPO levels is used in the evaluation and therapeutic monitoring of several pathologic conditions including cancer, renal disease, sepsis and cirrhosis of the liver, and also to monitor the treatment of patients receiving exogenous EPO.
