Tube holders retract to full horizontal position

pn13.jpg (10390 bytes)The Horizon model 643 is a 6-place, single-speed horizontal centrifuge with compact size and low noise. Its allows test tubes to load just as in a standard fixed-angle centrifuge but during acceleration the tube holders retract into a full horizontal position. It is designed to eliminate re-draws, re-spins and invalid high potassium results.
     The Horizon has a digital timer for precision and simple operation. The timer may be set from one to thirty minutes. The current status of the machine, (running, lid closed, unlocked), is shown with indicator lights on the control panel.
     The Horizon is constructed out of welded steel for strength, durability and low vibration levels. A clear lid allows for speed verification and safe visual observation. It has a safety interlock system that prevents entry while the rotor is turning. A cycle counter tracks machine usage. The running speed is 3,150 RPM with a force of 1,465 xg. The Horizon is compliant with UL standard 3101-2-20 and CSA standard C22.2 #1010-2-20.
     Test tube sizes are up to 17mm x 100mm. Tube holders included with the centrifuge are color coded 100mm and 75mm. Additional accessories available are a 1" tube cushion, .25" tube cusion and non-aerosol tube holder cap compatible with all tube holders.
