The PCI High Speed Stepper Motor Controller controls the motorized microscope stage, joystick, focus motor, filter wheels, and shutters, all from within the PC. Installed directly into a computer, the PCI saves workspace by eliminating the need for a controller box. The PCI incorporates a 32-bit BUS that communicates at speeds of 133 MBps. This yields a communication response time of less than 250 nanoseconds. The PCI is capable of 0.01 micron step size for X and Y and 0.002 micron step size for Z movement. The card is designed with a 32-bit DLL, which is compatible with all existing company products, including the ProScan™ and OptiScan™ motorized stages. The supplied DLL is a complete set of functions and data that can be accessed by a windows application. The PCI also has the ability to accept encoder inputs. The PCI card is CE compliant. The PCI requires a PC that will accept a full-size PCI card.
