DNA Polymerase

Repairs damaged DNA

Restorase™, a new DNA polymerase, combines an enzyme with a small amount of a unique DNA repair additive. The optimized blend initiates the repair and further amplification of damaged DNA templates greater than 800 bp.
DNA can be damaged by improper storage/handling, aging, or exposure to acid, heat, or light. This damage blocks the progression of DNA amplification (PCR). Restorase was developed for researchers unable to achieve amplification of damaged DNA templates when using other thermostable DNA polymerases. Restorase enables these researchers to work with damaged templates that would otherwise be abandoned. It has also been shown to increase yield on undamaged templates, making it a powerful enzyme blend for all usages.
