The Epi-Fluorescent system for the M2 Infinity LabScope is used in immunology and other specialized applications. Utilizing a 100-watt HBO mercury vapor light source, the Epi-Fluorescent system creates UV light at specific wavelengths for fluorochrome-stained specimens. The light housing is mounted between the body and head of the microscope and includes a variable-control transformer box.
