Pressure-Actuated Trigger
For use with Triplett Bleeding Time Test Device
The new Tip Tripper pressure-actuated trigger is used with the Triplett Bleeding Time Test Device. Tip Tripper improves reproducibility of the bleeding time test by reducing tech-to-tech variability. Bleeding time results are directly affected by the amount of pressure applied to the skin with the test device. The harder the device is pressed into the skin when activated, the deeper the cut into the capillary bed and the longer the bleeding time. After a Triplett is slipped into place in the Tip Tripper and pressed to the patients forearm, the Tip Tripper actuates the Triplett once a prescribed amount of pressure has been applied. The end result is better, more reproducible bleeding time results. Helena Laboratories www.CLPmag.com
