A new, wide-range, ultrasensitive CRP assay allows laboratories to consolidate two clinically useful assays into one. The immunoassay test measures C-reactive protein (CRP) in serum. Elevated levels of CRP are associated with acute phase response and measurements may be useful in the detection of infection, tissue injury, inflammatory disorders, and associated diseases. Recent literature suggests that measuring CRP levels may assist in screening for cardiovascular events.
The CRP Ultra Wide Range kit contains liquid-stable reagents, and needs no preparation, mixing, or dilutions. The assay can be applied to most automated chemistry analyzers.
