The Alpha 1501 produces 150 W of cold illumination while special heat-blocking guards keep the unit cool to the touch. Variable intensity controls allow the technician to achieve precise lighting requirements in any environment. Options include a dual gooseneck with focusable tips for flexible positioning; and a ring that mounts to most stereoscopes for shadow-free illumination.

The illuminator comes complete with a hinged bulb door to allow easy access for bulb replacement and inserting the included colored filters.
