A line of optimized test kits and associated consumables is available for the determination of thrombin activatable fibrinolysis inhibitor (TAFI). TAFI, a glycoprotein present in human plasma, provides a critical link between clot formation and breakdown due to its ability to retard fibrin clot lysis. Consequentlly, TAFI, along with its activated form TAFIa, plays a key role in hemostasis. The accurate quantitation of TAFI and TAFIa may provide important information for understanding and diagnosing vascular disorders, heart disease, and stroke.
Offered in a variety of flexible testing options, including chromogenic EIA, Fluorometric EIA, and ELISA, each test kit contains all necessary components for the analysis of functional TAFI activity and/or antigen levels using patented testing formats. Each assay format requires only microliters of sample to perform an analysis.
Each test kit offers convenient, compact, easy-to-store packaging with demonstrated lot-to-lot consistencies, extended shelf life claims, and reconstituted reagent stabilities. Testing protocols for manual, semi-automated, or fully automated procedures are also available.
