Manual blood-group serology reagents are being offered for use in hospital transfusion services, reference laboratories, and donor centers. The reagent line provides laboratories with another choice in blood-group serology reagent manufacturers. The company’s blood-banking equipment and antisera are used to ensure safe and accurate ABO and Rh typing and infectious-disease screening of blood supplies.
     The reagent red cells include cells for reverse typing, antibody screening, and antibody identification. The reagent’s shelf life is 5 weeks. The tests include the Reverse-Cyte® for ABO testing, Coombs Control Cells, Search-Cyte® for antibody detection, and Data-Cyte Plus®, an 11-cell antibody identification panel. Also available is the Blood Bank Quality Assurance II, a control kit that includes controls for forward and reverse ABO testing, Rh testing, and antibody screening.
