Two-site ELISA

For peptide YY3-36

d04a.JPG (12101 bytes)PYY3-36, a hormonal regulator of appetite, is secreted by the gastrointestinal tract in response to the presence of food. The peptide has been shown to cross the blood-brain-barrier, and acts on the arcuate nucleus of the hypothalamus, stimulating neurons that create a sensation of satiety and inhibiting neurons that simulate feeding behavior. The PYY3-36 assay has a range of 10 to 2,000 pg/mL and is suitable for both serum and plasma samples. The assay can be run fully automated on an open-platform or run manually with the generation of results within 5 hours.
