Orchard Copia™ is a Web-based outreach system that electronically links laboratories with their provider communities for order entry and results delivery. The software enables users to place orders from any Web-based PC. Copia reviews each order, identifies potential reimbursement issues, and automatically handles patient insurance and lab routing preferences. The software also allows phlebotomists to generate draw lists, produce bar-code labels, view clinical questions, personalize comments, and complete a shipping manifest. Results are consolidated into a single report, and providers may review current and past results from any PC. Copia reduces errors, improves access, and provides IDNs with multisite communication without the investment of a new LIS.
