The Leica RM2245 microtome was designed for the experienced user who prefers the feel of manual sectioning compared to motorized sectioning. The RM2245 microtome offers motorized specimen feed and a number of enhanced features for cost efficiency, ergonomics, safety, stability, and convenience. The improved lateral movement of the blade holder provides cost-efficient use of the entire surface of the blade edge without having to change the clamping pressure. The ergonomic handwheel features an integrated quick-lock mechanism that provides user safety, and the optimized protective finger guard system is integrated into the blade holders for additional safety when sectioning.
