Anti-IgD Antibody

Identifies marginal zone lymphomas

productThe anti-IgD antibody can be used in conjunction with IgM as a marker to identify marginal zone lymphomas, as well as in the diagnosis of IgD multiple myeloma and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic leukemia. The antibody also helps identify autoimmune diseases, such as glomerular disease in systemic lupus erythematosus, causing acute or chronic glomerulonephritis.
IgD is expressed on mature B cells and may be used to classify B cell neoplasms. Anti-IgD antibody also can be used to detect changes in nodal architecture. In addition, the antibody can be used to study the expanded follicular structures of progressive transformation of germinal center, which are composed largely of IgD+ mantle zone B-cells.
