VITROS 5,1 FS is the first VITROS chemistry system to support the new VITROS MicroTip technology, which features an extended menu of proteins, TDMs, DAUs, and other critical assays. MicroTip technology is unique in that assays are processed using disposable tips and cuvettes—eliminating the maintenance and cost associated with water, wash reagents, plumbing, drains, fixed probes, and mixing assemblies. MicroTip technology is designed to eliminate sample and reagent carryover that may occur with sample probes and reusable cuvettes.
     The VITROS 5,1 FS chemistry system features MircoSlide Technology for reportable result efficiency and Intellicheck™ technology in system monitoring, advanced clot and bubble detection management, as well as intelligent error reduction.
