The homocysteine assay enables physicians to better identify and treat coronary heart disease. Historically, methods for testing homocysteine were either too technically challenging or cost prohibitive for many physicians to perform testing in their own laboratories. Polymedco’s enzymatic assay allows physicians to affordably measure homocysteine in a rapid, accurate manner in their laboratories. As a result, physicians are able to more efficiently direct patient’s therapy to reduce homocysteine levels as necessary.
