The C4i and G4i centrifuges are available in ventilated and refrigerated versions, and are equipped with a quiet, brushless induction motor. The C4i model is a tabletop centrifuge and the G4i model is a compact floor-standing unit. Both units accept a wide range of accessories, including swing-out rotors for use in spinning large batches of tubes, sample concentration tube systems, analyzer racks, blood bags, microplates, and deep-well blocks. The units also have the ability to save protocols in five programs, including speed, RCF, time, temperature, acceleration, and braking rates. A full set of safety features protects the operator, sample, and centrifuge, and an extended self-diagnostics program allows immediate control of system faults.
