Hydrophilic Heat Seal Tape

For in vitro diagnostics

ARflow® 90128 and ARflow® 90119 hydrophilic heat-sealed adhesive tapes feature dual functionality for bonding components and wicking biological fluids with in vitro diagnostic medical devices. The ARflow 90128 is a clear, 5 mL plastic film adhesive coated on one side with a hydrophilic heat-sealable adhesive protected by a polyester liner. ARflow 90119 is a clear 2 mL film adhesive coated on one side with a hydrophilic heat-sealable adhesive that is protected by a polythylene liner. The hydrophilic properties of these products reduce the surface tension of fluids, such as water, urine, or blood, and allow for rapid flow of fluids from the inlet area to a remote reagent site of an in vitro diagnostic device.
The adhesive coating of both products provides several benefits, including reduced analysis time and more efficient transport of fluids. It requires smaller sample volumes, which can facilitate the use of alternative collection sites for increased patient comfort.
