The Leica ST5020 multistainer provides high throughput—supporting protocols with as many as 12 racks of 30 slides at a time. The system’s code-colored transponder technology allows the stainer to automatically identify the desired stain protocol for individual racks and then start the process. The large, solvent-resistant, color touch screen provides easy operation, and the Smart Software offers real-time graphical process representation on the screen. The multiple staining protocols can be processed simultaneously for both histology and cytology applications, and the memory will store as many as 50 user-defined staining protocols.
