The CytoFuge® 2 cytocentrifuge concentrates and gently deposits cells in a monolayer onto microscope slides for a variety of bioresearch procedures. Applications include cell presentations for molecular studies, immunofluorescence techniques, electron microscopy, apoptosis studies, FISH sample preparation, specialized staining procedures, and correlation of flow cytometry results with morphological features. Samples from 50 µL up to 800 µL can be processed with high cell recovery, even with hypocellular fluids. In addition, methods developed on other cytocentrifuge equipment can be easily replicated on the system.
     A selection of concentrator formats is available for the CytoFuge 2, including easy-to-use snap seal disposable filter concentrators with attached filter cards as well as a variety of reusable devices. The instrument occupies less than 18 cm of bench space and can be operated directly in a fume hood for added protection when processing biohazardous material.
