Leica’s RM2255 microtome features calibrated controls and visual aids on the precision specimen orientation device, making it easy to identify and duplicate an exact zero point or any measurable variable up to 8° along the x-y axis. The system also features the ability to move the blade holder laterally in order to use the entire surface of the blade edge without changing the clamping pressure. The microtome base plate of the RM2255 has been strengthened for increased stability, and the smooth-running ergonomic handwheel features a quick-lock mechanism for user safety.
