Data Management’s eMediTape software allows medical offices to keep paper charts active and current while harnessing the power and time savings of personal computing. Primary functions of the system include creating label reports from a local printer and highlighting out-of-range results. The software is also capable of storing and analyzing test data, managing controls and competencies, as well as producing QC charts. The software settings can be customized to include a facility’s name, technician competencies, kinds of test kits, reagents, and diluents, expiration dates, expected values, and length of time between QC tests. When using the eMediTape software, no typing is necessary; drop-down menus allow for fast data entry.
