The new AIA®-360 random access immunoassay analyzer from TOSOH Bioscience Inc is designed for small-volume hospital labs, physician office laboratories, and cardiac and specialty testing. With a throughput of 36 tests per hour and results in approximately 20 minutes, the system provides bar-coded primary tube sampling, reagent level sensing, clot detection, and positive test cup ID. It utilizes the same 10-minute incubation and ST reagents as TOSOH’s AIA-600II and AIA-1800, including tumor, anemia, and cardiac markers, as well as thyroid and reproductive hormones.

The AIA-360 analyzer measures 16 x 16 x 21 inches and weighs approximately 61 lbs. Because of its small footprint, it fits in any lab environment and can be used as a backup to larger systems or as a dedicated analyzer. The AIA-360 and all other TOSOH AIA systems utilize the same AIA-PACK test cup format to ensure consistent performance. Interchangeable reagents on all TOSOH systems make inventory management easier, and transition from one system to another is seamless, ensuring consistent results and efficient, economical operation for the laboratory.

TOSOH’s AIA-PACK test cups are single, unitized cups that utilize a dry reagent format that requires no premixing, no premeasuring, and no onboard refrigeration. The dry reagent format ensures calibration stability of up to 90 days for most assays. AIA-PACK test cups and trays are labeled with assay code and lot number for automated scheduling and inventory management.
