The Poly stat hCG two-line point-of-care test is a rapid, one-step pregnancy test in cassette format to detect hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) in urine. The rapid visual test provides results of a strong positive in 30 seconds and requires 5 minutes to confirm negative results. One line of the two-line cassette test is for the patient’s result while the other displays the control result. The control line is a procedural control that assures the operator that the sample addition and migration through the device has occurred and that the antibodies are intact and functional. A positive result shows two lines and a negative result shows one line. The Poly stat hCG test has a sensitivity of 20 mIU/mL and results are clear with no background interference.
