HIV-1 Genotyping System

Designed to identify mutations in the protease

The ViroSeq™ HIV-1 genotyping system is an FDA-cleared DNA sequencing based assay that is designed to identify mutations in the protease and reverse transcriptase regions of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1) that are associated with drug resistance. Accurate sequence is achieved through overlapping sequenced regions. This system accommodates a variety of throughput needs and levels of automation. The ViroSeq HIV-1 genotyping system v2.6 report can identify mutations to 19 different drugs and is cleared for use on the ABI PRISM‚ 3100 genetic analyzer and the ABI PRISM‚ 3700 DNA sequencer.
