The ultra2 A1c and hemoglobin variants analyzer is a high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) system designed to provide fast and accurate measurements of patient hemoglobin levels and aid in the comprehensive identification and quantitation of hemoglobin variants delivering results for glycemic control.
     The A1c assay combines the speed and precision of HPLC with the accuracy of boronate affinity columns, resulting in a precise assessment to true glycemic status in 2 minutes. Two hemoglobin variant programs are available, including a 4-minute Hb Variant quick scan with an abnormal results automatic reflex to a 10-minute high-resolution program for Hb variant identification. Features include automated sample handling; bar code reading; simple, menu-driven software; online sample prep from primary tube; and LIS interface.
