Mack Information Systems Inc has introduced a stand-alone, universal monitoring instrument for automated microbial detection systems. The device, which is compatible with the bioMerieux BacT/Alert 3D™ system, eliminates the need for personnel to be on hand to listen for alarms. The instrument interprets and identifies four separate event codes and provides visual indication of positive samples and alert conditions. The system, which connects easily with existing monitoring systems, does not require calibration, and validation is easy.
     The monitoring instrument addresses the need for separate audible warnings and provides dedicated relay outputs for positive sample and alert conditions. Separate DPDT relays allow connections to both local and remote devices, such as auto-dialers and horns.
