The Lyphochek® assayed chemistry control now has claims for both HDL cholesterol and LDL cholesterol. Adding additional analytes to existing control products expands the control’s use and provides additional value to laboratories. The general serum chemistry control can be used to monitor more than 80 analytes. Each lot is accompanied by value-assignment data for every analyte, including listings of the major chemistry analyzers.

The control is made from human serum and is designed for multiple methods and instruments. Third-party manufacturer controls, such as the Lyphochek assayed chemistry control, are not optimized for just one method or instrument, and provide an unbiased assessment of any testing system. They can help detect changes in assay performance, thus improving the quality of results.
