Axxora offers a line of serum-free media (SFM) products specifically formulated to simplify the cultivation of several human cell types. The reagents are ready to use and provide more consistent cell growth; have fewer protein contaminants than traditional serum-containing media; and are ideal for drug discovery, physiological, and gene expression. The SFM products also are available for the cultivation of human breast cells, epidermal-like cells, human prostate tissue, and normal prostatic cell line 267-B1.
     SFM is used as an alternative to standard serum-containing media formulations for cell cultivation. SFM have known and precisely defined compositions, therefore eliminating variances and improving control and reproductibility. SFM also have fewer protein contaminants, which simplifies the purification of target proteins and increases recovery values.
